Whatever....

Ok, let's see, started a new bible study (Daniel). Very interesting. Having all these chest pains, tightening of the chest, bank cramps, finally able to get into the cardiologist, not my heart, he orders a sonogram (sp?) of my gallbladder!! Who knew.?? Well we still don't know, cause before the patient gets the results (even though the results are to be rushed back to the DR) a radiologist must read the results, get all the info from that exam dictated to your file, and then they may "fax" the results to your dr, who works out of 4 different satellite offices and the results need to catch up to him wherever he may be. In the meantime, I can't catch my breath by the end of the day!! Very uncomfortable pain.
But tonight is our SIS fundraiser, I'm calmly ready. My table is ready (Calypso Cabana) a fun and bright Beach Shack theme, all my boards, (sponsors, upcoming events, info on us, check out instructions (silent auction) are all done, my money is all ready to be separated into sections (I'm the treasurer) I've got my assignment with the credit card machine. Really came together at the end easily. Hope I'm not forgetting something. I didn't have a food assignment (we do all the food ourselves) but the rumor might be out that I've burned, or undercooked everything assigned to me except the marinated cold asparagus, that was oil and vinegar and some spices in a zip-lock - that's my speed! So, off to bible study (3 hours) then full steam ahead into tonight and count money all day tomorrow, then full speed ahead into our redecorating (bathrooms and Kitchen) and week trip to Florida Panhandle on the 15th. Somewhere in there can somebody fix my breathing issues!!

More Golf

Me, I'm a tad under the weather health wise, just having a very fluctuating
heart beat (again). I go to cardiologist next week. Would really like to know what sparks these spurts, pulse goes from 58 to 137 within minutes and you have the socked in the chest feeling!! Ugh!!
Ken, he's been sad and lonely but went to another golf thing on Thursday. Went down to Hilton Head for a day of the Heritage. Pretty, but not the splendor of the Masters. Plus they have sponsors at the Heritage, but not with fan fair this year. Everybody was low key and not advertising their wares but they were still there, you just had to know where and don't expect any gift bags, no frills, beer, wine and peanuts, that's it. The tickets are not pretty either, rather plain and no holograms!! Poor Economy!!

Masters Rehab

Started a new bible study yesterday -Daniel. It's with a different group, but still Kay Arthur. Really like her studies, she gets down and into the nitty gritty. My traveling buddy (Greece in Sept) is teaching this class, our other class doesn't start back until the fall, way tooo long to go without, so Dolly invited me to join in theirs. Thanks!

Today, I'm off to take a SIS client to Rehab. She's 34, has an inoperable tumor on her spine!! Found it when she was pregnant with 2nd child! She is trying to get enough strength built up to be able to get herself to her car and drive with hand controls. Never complains, and is always in pain!! Me - I couldn't do it!! Kenny is off to the Masters!! He's doing a practice round today, real tickets are $1,600 and up and very hard to get. One of his best friends is a golf groupie and works lots of tournaments - holding up quiet signs or other fun stuff. He's worked the Masters for about 6 years now, the best part is he gets to play the course on Monday!! Personally, I think it's all boring, but the flowers are spectacular - that's what Ken is going for, that and the other guys are all buds, so they will have fun. It's been unusually cold, so he was concerned about wearing the right outfit!! He wore a black cord shirt, and a pink vest over it, if he does warm up he can take off the vest. His vest is very wrinkled, I hope they fall out in the car ride over, Tiger would never be wrinkled!! Here's a pic of the tickets, they are so pretty!!

Asheville

We went to Asheville on Saturday, took my camera and never took it out of my purse. Not thinking I guess!! The drive was beautiful, the Dogwoods and Cherry trees are spectacular, the wisteria will probably peak today. There's nothing prettier than seeing wispy dogwoods, pink and white, in the midst of trees that haven't leafed out yet. Today it's already raining and yesterday it was cloudy, so we picked a great day. We stopped at a yummy little cafe and had an amazing lunch, me salmon on greens, ken - shrimp on greens. Really good. Then we went to a quilt shop that I've been to before, not saying the name, but it's not nearly as fun as it was. New owners, new management, not sure, but no fat quarters, you could only get 1/2 yd increments and all the patterns were behind the counter. Didn't leave them one penny. Sorry. We walked through the Biltmore Village, except for J Crew, nothing else was exciting, well the yarn shop there is to dye fore (get it?) but I just don't knit, loved the amazing fibers though!! Then we hit downtown, hip and cool, lots of people out walking. We went to a dog shop that was having a birthday party, good thing we brought Bogie, it was his birthday too. 4 yrs old, my sweet boy!! He got some treats, a new collar and of course some birthday cake!! Shop was really cute and the busiest besides the ice cream shop!! What does that say about the economy! Now it's off to life and the real world. This month is wild, ending with Sassy Settings on the 28th!
